[made my day] IQ Test!

Yesterday, I saw a Cartoon KAT - TUN video on youtube with Masi Oka as the guest of the show. I found out that he has an IQ score 180. What a genius!

Today, I keep staring at my computer screen at work even though I have a lot of experiment results to analyze. Then I am wondering what is my IQ level now, since I feel that I'm becoming less and less genius these days :p

So I started to Googling and found a lot of websites that offer free 'kinda' IQ test. I tried several of them, and here is my favorite results:

I tried to take a free trial IQ test from here. It turned out great because I got 130 scores. After taking the test, I went to the FAQ page where I can see the interpretation of my IQ scores.

I am so happy that I am considered to be one of the "gifted" people based on the test. More interesting thing I could find is that there is a 14.889 standard deviation from the test. It means that my IQ score can be actually 14.889 scores more or less than my actual test scores which is 130. Then I realized that I am almost "extraordinary genius". This is successfully MADE MY DAY :)

I also tried to take an IQ test from several other sites such as here, or it is always fun to do brain excercise just like what you could join freely here. Have fun finding your IQ scores so it can make your day.

[made my day] The scent of summer flowers

Today, I walk to my workplace as usual, slowly and lazy-ly through my usual route. When I pass the small garden used for a fence in my work-place, I smell some flowery scent. So I stop walking and take a couple of steps back. I found this flowers:

I never think that such a plain flower plant that is used as a fence can has such a nice scent. This smell MADE MY DAY, and give me extra strength to finish all my works for today :)

New Year

Happy new year 2012!



This will probably be a very late new year greeting ever since it is 18th of January already. But I just realized that this is a new year, after I put the wrong year in every single date that I write. Why I always write 2011 while I know that now is 2012. Hope I am not the only one who do this things.

Rainbow

Just realized that I haven't post anything for a whole month... Today story will be about rainbow :D

Last week one of my room-mates said, "I just saw a rainbow, a biiiiiiig rainbow, as big as half of the sky.."

Ahh, I felt a bit disappointed because I didn't see it -__- but then I want to share one of my pictures which related to rainbow.

^^ this is the picture of rainbow that I take in my bedroom. The rainbow is lie on my bed, cool! I took this picture around 17.00, one day this spring. I don't know where it comes from. Firstly, I thought that the rainbow occur because of m glasses there, but it's not. Probably it comes from the window :D Anyway the rainbow is still cool...

Daging Gepuk Recipe -- an Indonesian Beef Cuisine

Daging Gepuk is the sweet and tender beef cuisine with Java island's touch of taste.

Ingredients:

- 1 kg Beef

- 5 candlenuts (kemiri)

- 7 garlics

- 7 onions (little red onions with 2 cm size)

- 3 tsp of coriander seeds (ketumbar)

- 3 bay-leaves (daun salam)

- 2 block of Java's palm sugar (gula jawa)

- 5 tsp of sweet soy sauce (Kecap manis)

- 1 tsp of Java's tamarind (asam jawa)

- salt + kristal sugar (around 4 tsp of sugar)

- Cooking oil, for frying

*) The ingredients amount is just a proximate amount. You could always adapt it with your own taste ^^

How to cook:

1. Preparing the beef

a. Cut beef into 7mm thick,

b. Boil it in the water until it's well-cooked (around 20 mins)

c. Pound the beef to tenderize it (do not mash it!)

2. It's flavoring time

a. Blend candlenuts, garlics, onions, and coriander.

b. Boil the tenderized beef together using a little amount of water along with the blending ingredients and add the bay-leaves, palm sugar, tamarind, sweet soy sauce, salt and kristal sugar.

c. Cook until all the water gone. Don't stir the cook, because it will smash the beef texture. It's better to mix all flavoring to the water before we put the beef.

3. Serving suggestion

a. Cool-down the beef a lil' bit before we fry it with cooking oil.

b. Do not over-fry the beef, because we just want to add the oily taste.

c. The "Daging Gepuk" is ready to be served with your favorite "Sambal".
